We Shall All Be Reunited
In 1927 a Kentucky preacher named Alfred Karnes responded to a newspaper ad seeking talent to record for the Victor recording company in Bristol, Tennessee. These were the same sessions that launched the career of The Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers.
Karnes is playing a Gibson harp-guitar - you can hear the distinctive bass notes, although they're less prominant than in some of his other sides from this session.
Alfred Karnes - We Shall All Be Reunited
We shall all be reunited in that land beyond the skies
Where there'll be no separation, no more parting, no more sighs.
Buy the cd.

Hello, everything you've posted recently has been tops !
In Google results for "long sought home," I see this week you've kicked the Chuch of Scientology out of second place.
Moving up in the world!

Alfred G. Karnes was my great grandfather. Glad to see the recognition while "googling". Thanks!
